Green Roof Mix One (MT31) Green Roof Mix One (MT31)
A selection of suitable plants to use in creating a green roof. These are low maintenance, drought tolerant species that will do particularly well in this environment.

Green roofs are used to:

Reduce heating and cooling loads on a building - therefore reducing costs.
Reduce the urban heat island effect.
Increase roof life span.
Reduce stormwater run off.
Filter pollutants and Carbon Dioxide out of the air.
Filter pollutants and heavy metals out of rainwater.
Increase wildlife habitat in built-up areas.

These are grown in trays of 104. They are young plants, not seedlings, each individual plug's volume being approximately 55cc (36mm diameter x 60mm depth). These are a perfect size for inserting directly into green roof planting medium.

There are four different trays (MT31 - MT34) that you can order and each will cover an area of up to 10 square metres. Example uses could be :

1 Tray - Small Shed (up to 10sqm) - 13 Species
2 Trays - Large Shed or Single Garage (up to 20sqm) - 26 Species
3 Trays - Double Garage or Summerhouse (up to 30sqm) - 39 Species

You can buy either a full tray of 104 or a smaller version of 52 plugs for a small area.
